With the MultiVariants – bulk order app, alongside the restrictions per variant and total combination of variants, you can also set up a limit/restriction per variant option.
N.B: the limit/restriction can be only applied to the first option of a product.
Let’s assume a scenario for better understanding.
you are selling t-shirts wholesale, and you want to sell 12 quantities of each color. So, no matter which color they choose, the quantity for that color has to be 12. there will be no limitations to choosing any size. customers can choose any size of that color to make the quantity 12. For example, if the customer chooses green, the quantity has to be 12, if red then the quantity has to be 12 for red also. but the sizes can be different, it can be 12 small sizes, or 6 small + 6 large = 12.
To create the similar rule in your store please follow the given steps:
Setup Process
>> From the admin panel, click on “Set restrictions”
>> You will see a section for Quantity restrictions where “per option” is available.
>> You can set a minimum limit or maximum limit there.
>> Enter your preferred limit.
>> Save it. That’s all.
For the above-given scenario, set 12 as the minimum limit per option and leave the maximum limit as it is.
This limit will be applied to the first option. (The variant option you see on top in the Shopify admin for that product, is the first option)
After the setup is done, your customers will see an alert message on the product page specifying the variant’s name and required quantity in red text until the condition is fulfilled.
You can change this alert message from the language settings.
