The Variant Restriction feature in MultiVariants allows you to limit the number of different variants a customer can select when purchasing a product.
For example
if you sell a t-shirt with 10 color variants, you can set a rule that requires customers to choose at least 3 different colors before they can place an order. Similarly, you can set a maximum limit to prevent customers from selecting too many different variants in a single order.
How to Set Up Variant Restrictions #
Follow these steps to apply Variant Restriction to your products:
- Go to MultiVariants Dashboard and click “Create Ruleset”.
- Fill in the required fields and scroll down to “Add Restriction”.
- Select “Variant Restriction” from the available options.
- Enter the minimum or maximum number of variants a customer must select.
- Click “Create” to apply the restriction.
- Save the configuration and check the product page to see the changes.
Who Can Benefit from This Feature? #
This feature is useful for businesses that sell products in multiple variants and want to control the variety customers can purchase. Some examples include:
- Clothing Stores – Require customers to buy at least 2-3 different t-shirt colors in a bundle.
- Custom Gift Boxes – Allow customers to mix different items but limit how many different variants they can select.
- Snack or Beverage Brands – Ensure customers pick a mix of at least 3 different flavors.
