🚀 MultiVariants 2.0.1 Now Fully Released to All Stores

Earlier, MultiVariants 2.0.1 was rolled out as a beta version to a small group of selected stores to test the new App Embed–based loading system. During this testing phase, we identified and resolved a few issues to ensure everything works smoothly.

Why it matters:
After fixing the reported issues, MultiVariants 2.0.1 is now fully released for all stores. Merchants can now benefit from a more stable, future-ready integration that aligns with Shopify’s move away from script tags toward the App Embed system.

🛠 MultiVariants 2.0.1 Beta Released with Support for Shopify’s App Embed Requirement

MultiVariants now supports loading through Shopify’s App Embed instead of relying on script tags. As Shopify gradually phases out script tag–based app loading, we’ve updated the app to follow the new recommended approach. This change is part of the MultiVariants 2.0.1 beta release, which is currently being rolled out to a few selected stores for testing before a wider release.

Why it matters:
Adapting to Shopify’s App Embed requirement ensures MultiVariants stays compatible with upcoming Shopify platform changes. The beta rollout allows us to test the update in real store environments first, helping ensure a smooth and stable experience before it becomes available to all merchants.

🛠 Fixed Variant Image Loading Issue on Product Pages

We identified and fixed an issue where MultiVariants was not properly loading product variant images on the product page in certain cases. This update ensures that variant images now load correctly when customers browse and select product options.

Variant images help customers clearly see the product options they are selecting. Fixing this issue ensures a smoother shopping experience and prevents confusion when customers switch between variants on the product page.

We’ve introduced a guided setup section on the MultiVariants dashboard to make the installation and setup process easier for new merchants. The dashboard now shows a step-by-step checklist with clear instructions and action buttons. Merchants can quickly complete key steps such as installing the app, enabling the App Embed, choosing a subscription plan, and creating their first ruleset.

Why it matters:
The guided setup removes confusion during onboarding and helps merchants get MultiVariants running faster. With clear steps and CTA buttons directly on the dashboard, merchants can complete the setup quickly and start seeing their variant options and bulk ordering features live on their store.

🎨 Better Dashboard Visibility for App Embed and App Blocks

We’ve improved the MultiVariants dashboard to give merchants clearer visibility and easier control over important app settings. You can now see whether the App Embed is enabled or disabled, view how many MultiVariants app blocks are available, and check how many of them are currently in use in your store. Merchants can also enable the App Embed directly from the dashboard with a live status update.

Why it matters:
This update removes the guesswork from setup and configuration. Merchants can quickly check their app status, understand how many app blocks are being used, and enable the App Embed without navigating through theme settings. This makes managing MultiVariants faster and more convenient.

Pagination Added to Manage Rulesets More Easily

Previously, MultiVariants displayed all rulesets created by merchants in one long list. As stores grow and more rulesets are added, this list could become difficult to navigate. We’ve now introduced pagination to organize and display rulesets in manageable sections.

Why it matters:
Pagination makes it easier to browse, locate, and manage rulesets without scrolling through a very long page. This improves usability and helps merchants work more efficiently when handling multiple rulesets in MultiVariants.

Admin UI Upgraded to Shopify Web Components

We’ve updated the MultiVariants admin interface to align with Shopify’s latest UI framework, moving from Polaris-based components to Shopify Web Components. This change modernizes the admin experience and brings the app interface closer to Shopify’s current design standards.

By adopting Shopify Web Components, the admin dashboard now feels more consistent with the Shopify environment. It also improves UI performance, responsiveness, and overall smoothness when navigating and managing variant settings inside the app.

✨ New Feature: Mix and Match Multiple Bundle

MultiVariants introduced a new feature Mix and Match: Multiple bundle. This allows merchants to create a virtual box where customers can purchase a product in a fixed quantity, but they can choose different variants. In addition, MultiVariants integrated Shopify's bundle API. It helps to display the selected items on the cart page under a single line item. Customers can also now purchase multiple boxes from the cart page.

Checkout Validation Function API implemented in MultiVariants

Checkout validation applies rules and checks to ensure orders meet the criteria you've defined in MultiVariants before customers can complete their purchase. This includes express checkouts, such as Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Image returned null value caused MultiVariants loading issue for some Shopify theme

Issue:
Part of Multivariants was not rendering correctly on the product pages for a few Shopify themes.

Cause:
Due to a recent Shopify platform update, some products without images for available variants returned a null value inside the product image array (images: [{ src: null }]). This caused an error when Multivariants attempted to loop through the image array.

Solution:
We implemented an additional filter to safely ignore null image entries, ensuring the Multivariants widget loads correctly even if the product has no valid images.

Resolved

✨ New Feature: Interval quantity and Minimum quantity per option

Features highlight:

Interval quantity: Now you can offer your variant quantity selection with incremental increases or step quantity (ex, customers can choose quantity with a step of one dozen 12. So, it will increase quantity as 12 > 24 > 36 > 48, etc.)
Minimum quantity per option: This one is another complex feature requested by Shopify B2B merchants. Now you can set a minimum order quantity based on the product option. For example, you are selling T-shirts in bulk and you want to restrict the minimum purchase based on color, like if a customer chooses Red color, they have to purchase a minimum of 12 red color T-shirts, but customers can mix and match with different sizes, but the total red color T-shirts should be 12.

First version of MultiVariants is released

The first version of the MultiVariants - Bulk Order app for Shopify was released with features to increase sales, such as faster checkout with bulk variants, quantity selection, and plan order in one click. Features highlight:
