Steps to Set Up the Limit on Per Variant Option: #
- Click “Create Ruleset” from the MultiVariants Dashboard.
- Scroll down to find the “Add Restrictions” section and click on it.
- In the restrictions list, select “Limit Per Variant Option” and click “Add Now.”
- You will be presented with two options:
- Minimum quantity per Variant Option:
Make customers pick a minimum number of variants before they can buy. Example: You sell a T-shirt in 10 variants (different colors and sizes). You set a minimum of 5 variants, so customers must choose at least 5 different variants to place an order. If they pick fewer, they’ll see a warning message and can’t checkout until they add enough.
- Maximum quantity per Variant Option:
Set a maximum number of different variants customers can purchase in one order. Example: You sell a T-shirt in 10 variants (different colors and sizes). You set a maximum of 3 variants, so customers can only pick up to 3 different variants per order. If they try to add more, they’ll see a warning message and can’t checkout until they remove extras.
- Minimum quantity per Variant Option:
- Enter your desired minimum or maximum quantity in the input field.
- Click on the “Create” or “Save” button
