How to apply Minimum or Maximum order value on products.

Min/Max Order Value lets you set custom order limits for your products, either per variant or across all variants combined. 

For example, if each variant costs $5 and you set the minimum per variant to $25, customers must buy at least five of that variant to meet the minimum requirement of $25, while a $25 minimum total allows them to mix variants as long as the total value isn’t below $25. 

Similarly, setting a $50 max per variant means customers can’t buy more than $50 worth of a specific variant, like red small-sized or blue medium-sized shirts, while a $60 max total ensures the combined order value of all variants doesn’t exceed $60. 

To set min/max order value, follow the below steps:

• Go to MultiVariants Dashboard and click “Create ruleset”.
  
• Fill up the necessary fields and scroll down to “Add restriction” 
• Select “Min/Max Order Value”.  
• Now, provide your inputs in the box. Here, we have 4 fields: 

   

  1. Min per variant
     Suppose the price of each variant of your product is $5. You set the minimum order value of that variant to $25. So, customers have to order at least 5 quantities of that variant to meet the minimum requirement of $25.
  2. Min total (all variants combined)
     For example, the price of each variant of your product is $5. You set the minimum total value to $25. So, customers can choose any variants of the product, but the minimum total price shouldn’t be less than $25.
  3. Max per variant
     Suppose you have shirts with 2 variants, where one is red in small sized, and another is blue in medium sized. Setting $50 as max per variant value means customers can’t choose more than a $50 valued shirts of that specific variant. In this case, they can’t choose more than $50 valued red shirts in small-sized, or $50 valued blue shirts in medium-sized.
  4. Max total (all variants combined)
     Here, you can apply a restriction so that customers can’t place a product in the cart if the order value exceeds the maximum limit. For example,  if you set $60 as maximum order value for your product, then that means whatever variants customers choose, the total shouldn’t exceed $60.
• After adding the required value in the input fields, Save the configuration and check it on the product page.
